Things That I Believe

Since this part of my site is dedicated to the world, politics, and other amazing stuff, I thought I might as well share my beliefs so that you can see my perspective and how I view the world around me.  Keep checking back - this is a new page, and I will add to it periodically.

I am a conservative who is extremely concerned that we have a president who is apologizing for us at every opportunity.  He shows extreme weakness in the face of radical terrorism, and quite frankly, I think it is going to get Americans killed.  He has empowered and emboldened the North Koreans and the Iranians with his weak stance on our defense.  He is constantly turning his back on Israel and giving favor to Muslim terrorists. I fear for my country because I fear that very soon these terrorist states will take action to exercise their new-found nuclear toys and exploit the weakness displayed by this un-presidential pretender.

As I predicted: the spirit and wording of our most beloved document, The United States Constitution, has come under attack and attempts to change it are being aggressively pursued by a progressive movement that is treating it as a "dynamic document" that can be changed to fit their current whim.  With that said, you can expect to see even more on these pages in the coming weeks, months, and even years as I will continue to voice my disapproval for things that seem un-American or counter to the liberties that our Founding Fathers fought so hard to win more than 200 years ago.  I will continue to be vocal for 2nd Amendment rights, perhaps more than ever before, and for how ever long it takes to ensure our rights are left un-infringed.

I am thoroughly convinced and thoroughly advocate that we use non-violence and an aggressive voice to help take our country back.  See Northern Colorado's contribution to the 9.12 Project at the We Will Not Fall web site.   One piece of good news:  Others are getting onboard to voice their outrage.  One particular example is found in a letter from Janet Contreras of Phoenix, AZ.  We reproduced her letter on our 9.12 Project web site.  Take a look and if you agree, sign the petition.

My Fundamental Beliefs:

There are three things that I will support and defend unconditionally

  • My belief in God

  • The well being and safety of my family

  • The Constitution of the United States of America.

That includes actively practicing my faith, voting for candidates who support the ideals and values of the forefathers of this great nation, and protecting my family from would-be intruders through responsible and educated gun ownership.  I wore my country's uniform for twenty years, and have a son who is doing the same.  I will not stand by and let our country turn into a sewer for illegal aliens and criminals without a fight.

My rights in these matters are non-negotiable!

Gun Control:

I oppose it - period! "When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns."  "Guns don't kill people, people kill people."  "Guns cause crime the same way that pencils cause misspelled words."  You have seen all those things stated dozens of times and in hundreds of emails.  But they are true.

Ownership of guns by law abiding citizens is not the problem.  Failure to let our law enforcement professionals do their jobs is the problem. But relying on law enforcement as our sole source of protection is also a problem.  Murders are committed by criminals, not by law abiding citizens.  Guns don't murder people, criminals murder people.  Law abiding, responsible gun owners are an effective deterrent against criminals.  A handgun at the ready will protect my family faster than the government sponsored dial-a-prayer (also known as the 911 system).

I believe that the 2nd Amendment of our Bill of Rights gives me the right as a law abiding, free man to defend my family against criminals.  And, I believe that our forefathers put that amendment there for a reason.  I, as a law abiding citizen of the United States, have the right to own guns, and I have the right to use them to defend my family.

The gun grabbers will have you believe that taking the guns off the streets will make America safer for everybody.  That is a misguided belief on so many levels.  The criminals will still have and be able to get guns.  The only people who will be disarmed are law abiding citizens who will then be defenseless against these predator scum.  And you can thank the liberals for disarming you!

My rights in this matter are non-negotiable!

Illegal Immigration:

If they want to be here, then they need to do it legally.  I will not support giving welfare, exemption from paying taxes, free health care, or any other government assistance to illegal aliens who's only intent is to come to our country, trash it out, and leave it financially and morally bankrupt.

I don't want to hear about one more program that gives free college benefits to illegal alien children, and does nothing for the under-privileged children of the law abiding citizens of the United States.

Securing our borders against illegal aliens and terrorists is a top priority.

Supporting Our Law Enforcement Professionals:

Law enforcement professionals should be allowed to do their jobs - period.  A law enforcement officer who shoots and kills a criminal who is in the act of committing a violent crime should not live under fear of being sued by the perp's mother because she feels her precious "baby" was a good boy, even though he was caught in the act of armed robbery.  An officer should not have to hesitate in properly and correctly carrying out his or her mission because of fear of being sued.   Officers should not have their hands tied by politicians who give more rights to the criminals than they do law abiding citizens.

Our Upcoming Presidential Election:

I believe that if either Obama or Clinton get into office, they will take our country back to what it once was - a large, arctic region, covered with ice.  If either of those two get into office, we are doomed to becoming a nation of mediocrity, and worse yet, a nation who is no longer a great and mighty nation to be feared and respected.  If Obama gets into office, we will be giving huge entitlements to illegal immigrants.  If Clinton gets into office, we will be defenseless, AND giving huge entitlements to illegal immigrants.  These two are both horribly wrong for American values and our way of life.

Ronald Reagan should be cloned and voted into office.  But short of that happening, Republican Mike Huckabee would make a great President.  His values with regards to family values, 2nd Amendment rights, health care, veteran's rights, and a myriad of other issues make him the man we want to put into office.

The War on Terrorism:

Our brave men and women of our armed forces are in a far away land, doing an unpopular job (according to the liberals), and risking their lives.  They are taking the fight to the doorstep of the terrorists.  Would you rather that the day-to-day fight take place on American soil?  I wouldn't!  I would rather we fight them and defeat them there before they have the chance to come here and take over our country.

"Oh - but we're losing" say the opponents, "...so our war effort is meaningless and futile."  That's because our soldiers can't get the tools they need to do the job.  The terrorists , on the other hand, are receiving seemingly unlimited funding from wealthy sheiks.  The terrorists have lots and lots of weapons.  Our soldiers need good weapons, good protective machinery, and the tools to get the job done right.

Didn't 9/11 teach anyone anything?  Contrary to Obama's beliefs, giving the terrorists a big hug won't make them like us.  They want us dead.  We need to take it to their back yards and kill them before they kill us.

Our soldiers and sailors deserve our unconditional support in their efforts.

In case you need a refresher on the United States Constitution

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."

- Second Amendment, U.S. Constitution

"The difference between Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama: Rugged individualism versus social elitism.  You decide which one was which."
